Aussiedoodle Overview The Aussiedoodle is a designer breed created through the cross of the Australian Shepherd and the Standard Poodle breed. The Aussiedoodle is recognized by the ACHC (American Canine Hybrid Club). This designer breed can also be registered through IDCR (International Designer Canine Registry) and ICA (International Canine Association, Inc).
  • Country of Origin: N/A
  • Weight: 40 - 70 lbs
  • Height: 16 - 22 inches
  • Color: Their color is liver/red, liver/red merle, blue merle and black. It can be any of these combinations.

Aussiedoodle Temperament

The Aussiedoodle puppy is intelligent, affectionate and highly excitable. They are good with children, well behaved and good cuddle buddies which makes them a great family pet.

Aussiedoodle Health Issues & Life Expectancy

One of the largest health concerns with the Aussiedoodle is luxating patella. Other health issues to watch for can be:

  • Eye Disorders
  • Ear Infections
  • Allergies

All mixed breed dogs have a better chance of having less health concerns because of their genetic diversity.

Aussiedoodle Coat & Coat Care

Their coats can be curly & non-shedding, similar to the Poodle. They can also be slightly wavy and a medium length.

Brushing 2 – 3 times weekly will help prevent tangling & matting. If the Aussiedoodle has predominant Australian Shepherd features, they will tend to shed a little. Brushing more frequent during those times will help maintain a healthy coat.

We got our Aussiedoodle almost four years ago from Keystone Puppies and can’t imagine our family without him. Cody is smart, protective, playful and loyal. And although he has a long coat, his hair doesn’t bother my allergies. We love our Aussiedoodle Cody!
