Bernedoodle Breed Overview

Want to bring home an adorable Bernedoodle puppy for sale? You’ve come to the right place. At Keystone Puppies, our mission is to help Bernedoodle puppies find their forever homes. In addition to Bernedoodles, we work with a range of other designer breeds — including Bernese Mountain Dogs, Poodles, Goldendoodles, and more! All our puppies are bred with the highest standards of ethical integrity — free of common genetic defects that impact less scrupulous breeders — and are raised in happy homes where they’re treated like part of the family before becoming part of yours!

The Bernedoodle is a relatively new dog breed, but one with a long history. It is a cross between the Bernese Mountain Dog and the Standard Poodle, two breeds that have been around for centuries. The first Bernedoodles were bred in the United States in the 1980s, and they quickly became popular thanks to their hypoallergenic coats and friendly dispositions.

In recent years, Bernedoodles have become increasingly popular as therapy dogs and family pets. Thanks to their intelligence and trainability, they make excellent companion animals. And with their lush coats and bright eyes, they’re also pretty hard to resist! If you’re looking for a dog that’s both smart and beautiful, the Bernedoodle is the perfect breed for you.

Bernedoodle Puppies Temperament

If you’re looking for a fun-loving, energetic dog with a docile temperament, the Bernedoodle is the perfect breed for you. Bernedoodles are known for their outgoing personalities and their ability to get along well with other dogs and people. They are also highly intelligent and trainable, making them ideal pets for families with children.

Bernedoodles typically inherit the best qualities of both the Bernese Mountain Dog and the Poodle, resulting in a dog that is loyal, affectionate, and low-shedding. If you are looking for a canine companion that will bring joy to your life, a Bernedoodle is the perfect choice.

Bernedoodle Puppies Health Considerations

Though generally very healthy and long-lived — with an average lifespan of around 12 to 15 years — our Bernedoodles for sale are not without their unique health concerns. Like every breed of dog, there are a few conditions you should be aware of before you consider purchasing one of our Bernedoodle puppies for sale. Understanding the risks allows you to know the signs and prevent small health concerns from turning into big ones.

Bernedoodle puppies are at somewhat elevated risk for developing the following conditions:

  •    Hip Dysplasia
  •    Epilepsy
  •    Malignant Histiocytosis

Some common health problems for Bernedoodles include hip and elbow dysplasia, Von Willebrand’s disease, and epilepsy. While these conditions can be serious, they can often be managed with proper veterinary care.

Finding a Bernedoodle puppy for sale from a reputable breeder can dramatically — although, not eliminate — the risk of your dog developing some of these conditions. At Keystone Puppies, we work exclusively with experienced breeders who are committed to producing healthy & happy pups. Bernedoodle Puppies Coat & Coat Care

Like both of its parent breeds, the Bernedoodle has a thick, luxurious coat. While this coat may be beautiful, it does require some special care to keep it looking its best. The first step in coat care is to brush your Bernedoodle regularly. This will help to remove any dead hair and prevent mats and tangles from forming. It is also important to give your dog regular baths, using a gentle shampoo that is designed for dogs with sensitive skin. In addition, you will need to trim your Bernedoodle’s nails on a regular basis, and brush their teeth at least once a week. By taking these simple steps, you can help to keep your Bernedoodle’s coat healthy and looking its best.
