The Mini Bernese Mountain Dog breed is affectionate, gentle and friendly. They do well with children and other animals. Since both the Bernese & Cavalier have similar temperaments, this makes for a nice family pet!

Although it’s true that mixed breed dogs can be healthier, thanks to their wider gene pool, they can also be prone to the same hereditary health issues as their parents. Please do your research on the breeds.

The Bernese Mountain Dog parent can pass on the following issues:

Mini Bernese Mountain Dog Coat

The Bernese Mountain Dog has a thick, double coat that is woolly on the underside with a long, wavy topcoat.

The Cavalier has a shiny, silky coats of moderate length. Coats are usually straight, but some have a slight wave.

This Mini Bernese will have a combination of these two coats.

Brush your puppy’s coat daily to prevent matting and tangles.
